10-Week Composition/Songwriting Workshop
Join our academy in a low pressure live group class beginning September 5th, 2020. During the class, our instructors will start from the ground up, teaching you the basic knowledge you need to start writing your own music. Whether you play the piano, guitar, ukulele or a laptop, you will learn how to come up with creative and unique ideas and discover fun ways to translate your ideas into notation so that others can play along too. Topics covered include: form, counterpoint, lyric selection, ranges of instruments and basic orchestration techniques.
In our interactive songwriting class, you will get a chance to share your music in front of a group, while receiving positive and encouraging feedback to help you improve your playing, theory, composing and musical knowledge as well as have full access to our “drop-in” classes once a month.
No prior skills necessary
Class Dates: March 5 - May 7, 2021
Duration: 10 weeks on Fridays from 7 - 8 pm (EST)
